Blue Moon!

July 23, 2007

we’re back from ottawa and my car smells like a butt. 10 hours in a car and only eating fast food is not a good combination.

but it was an awesome weekend, and the best stop of the series. props to the whole Eventsing crew for putting together an amazing 5 stop series this year!

we hungout with this dude Matt Canadian on saturday night and hit up Zaphods. pretty cool bar in the market. stop by if you’re ever in town.
matt was supposed to compete in the contest, as he does every year, but in warm ups he took a board to the eye and got a pretty gnarly shiner.  his whole cheek swelled up like a softball. this was the next morning.

bummer.
but we took him out and showed him a goodtime to cheer him up.

Bubbalicious was title sponsor this year, and we have to thank them for our blue tounges. we ate way too much of that stuff this weekend, and drank way too many redbulls.

all in all, the weekend was good times.

quote of the weekend:

emil: “do you know what a blue moon is?”

adam: “isnt that when you spread your butt open and show it to someone?”

emil: “no, thats a red eye.”

adam: “oh….”

this saturday is the final stop of the Jack Of All Tricks skateboard series in Ottawa, ON.  it’s being held at the outdoor Legacy park, just off woodruff rd. (i dont know if i spelled that right, but i really enjoy poutines)

being the last stop of the series, we’re gonna get down to business on saturday night and light up the city, Friendly styles. tequila shots, casinos, dance party at Zaphods, and i’ll probably end up stealing some fish sandwiches again from some random store at 3am. maybe we’ll all get lucky and get another shot of emil ripping one on his shoes.

hope to see you all there!

your Friendly friend,
Burger.
